Jo Thelusma, MSN, RN is a Boston motherhood, portrait, and documentary photographer who created Laurent Storytelling after several years of capturing births through her company, Aila Birth Village. Over time, an interest in telling more diverse stories emerged and Laurent Storytelling was born in 2024. Jo is a passionate photographer dedicated to documenting the raw, heartfelt moments that define our incredible human journeys. With a love of fine art and keen eye for detail, Jo specializes in intimate imagery. Bringing with her a warm, approachable style puts clients at ease, Jo embraces highlighting authentic emotions in every shot.

When not behind the lens, Jo is an emergency and trauma nurse and birth doula who enjoys spending time with her loves ones, painting, and pilates.
